My First Day at Work

Today is Monday. It is my first day at my new job. I am nervous, but I am also excited. I arrive at the office at 8:30 in the morning. The building is big and modern. I take the elevator to the third floor. A woman with short brown hair meets me at the door. "Hi! You must be Tom. I'm Sarah, your manager. Welcome to the team!" Sarah shows me around the office. There is a kitchen with free coffee. There is a quiet room for phone calls. And there is a big open area with many desks. "This is your desk," says Sarah. She points to a desk near the window. "You have a nice view of the park." I sit down and turn on my computer. The password is on a small paper. I change it to something I can remember. At lunch, I eat with three colleagues. They are friendly. They tell me about the best restaurants near the office. At 5:00 PM, I go home. I am tired but happy. It was a good first day.
